    Apprenticed about 1840 to Ralph Cowles in Cleveland OH
    He was a partner from 1849 to 1853 with Joseph R. Albertson
    in
    Cleveland OH as COWLE & COMPANY and later
    COWLES & ALBERTSON. Albertson was formerly a member of
    FELLOW, WADSWORTH & Co. of New York.
    He worked from 1854 to 1857 as a silversmith and
    jeweler in
    Cleveland OH.
    He was a partner in 1857 with Homer Goodwin in
    Cleveland OH as COWLES & COMPANY.
