Antique 1790-1840 American Coin Silver W Moulton Serving SpoonPresented is an antique, American coin silver serving spoon made by William Moulton IV of Newburyport, Massachusetts during the very late 1700s or early 1800s. The spoon is in a classic, pointed tip form and the top of the handle has a wonderful, old and original monogram of the initials RML. The back of the spoon, where the bowl meets the handle, has a neat, engraved triangle or chevron design.
The back of the spoon is marked W. Moulton. This piece has been tested and is guaranteed to be coin silver purity.
This piece is in good condition, especially for its age. There is some surface wear and some slight pitting in the bowl. There is a scratch on the back of the bowl, where someone tested the silver purity. There are no other damages, no breaks, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoon measures 8 3/4 inches long.
