    Description

Antique c1850 American Coin Silver N Harding Strainer Berry Ladle M Mono
Presented is an antique, American coin silver strainer ladle, most likely a berry server, made by Newell Harding & Company of Boston MA during the mid 19th century. This piece was made between the 1830s and the 1860s. The pierced bowl has a pretty, decorative rim and a slight gold wash. The handle is beautifully hand engraved with design and an old, original monogram of the letter M.
The back is marked for Newell Harding & Co and coin for 900 purity silver.
This piece is in great overall condition for its age. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use, but no damages and no repairs. The gold wash on the bowl is faded and can be re-gilded.
