Antique Coin Silver 10” Ladle Fiddle Shell C. Burnett Virginia & DC

This is a beautiful coin silver ladle by Charles A. Burnett, who lived 1769-1849. He was a successful silversmith and businessman who worked in Fredericksburg Virginia, Alexandria VA, and Georgetown DC. This ladle in the fiddle shell pattern is 10
”
long and weighs 2.65 troy ounces. It is in good antique condition, with only a light patina of scratches from previous use, and an very small shallow dent in the bowl.  It has a mono of SMP. The shape and size of the bowl makes me think this is a type of toddy ladle.
