    Description

    Beautiful Early American silver sugar nips - also known as tea tongs.
    The bowls appear to be cast.  There is a small hole in one of the bowls.
    The center is engraved with a flower on one side and a cross on the reverse.
    These measure 4-3/4" long.
    These were in a box I received from the estate of an antique dealer.  Tag dates them to 1780.
    I find no hallmarks.
