A Beautiful 1856 Coin Silver Presentation Wine Goblet. The Goblet is not hallmarked but tests for .900 silver, which is common for early American Goblets. The Presentation part of the Goblet is Marked: Presented to Mr. N. W. J. Root By His Pupils Quincy, Ills May 21, 1856. The Silver Goblet is covered in Grape and Leaf Repousse. The Goblet stands approximately 6 1/4” tall x 3 3/16” in diameter for the drinking part x 2 15/16” for the diameter for the base. The Goblet weighs approximately 151.6 grams.
