Description
Presented is a great pair of American coin silver serving or table spoons. These spoons date to circa 1795-1803 and were made by Alexander S. Gordon. The spoons are done in a simple, traditional style, with a distinctive downward turn to the end of the handles. The spoons have an old monogram of F in elegant script on the front of the handles, as well as a monogram of RFP and 1911 on the back.The spoons are in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is stamped with the maker's mark for Alexander S. Gordon of New York.
Each spoon is about 9 1/4 inches long.
The total weight for the pair is 122 grams or 4.3 regular ounces.
