This listing is for a beautiful 19th Century American Coin Silver pedestal bowl or compote with beaded decoration on the top border and edge of base. The bowl has an engraved name "C Yohe" on curved lower body. Marked on inside base "J. Watson, Phila." with their trademark eagle stamp. James Watson was in business in Philadelphia from 1820-1872.
Measures 5 1/4" high with a top diameter of 9" and a base diameter of 4 3/8". Weighs 730 grams.
This lovely bowl/compote is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear. The top rim appears to be slightly out of round and not perfectly level when viewed at eye level although there are no noted bends, etc. so possibly as made.
