    Description

Set of six American coin silver teaspoons, hand engraved on the handle end in script "GWP".  The set weighs 3.65 troy ounces, and the spoons measure 6 inches long and 1 1/8 inches across the bowl.  Marked on the back of the handle "Whatenby" for Thomas Whartenby who worked in Philadelphia, PA in the first half of the 19th century.  There are tiny nicks and very fine scratches overall, some minimal rippling in the bowls, and some tiny dark tarnish spots, otherwise in fine antique condition with nicely kept bowl tips and surface finish.
