    Description

    Up for bid is a Victorian engraved OVAL THREAD coin silver in-line master butter knife by Farrington & Hunnewell of Boston. The server is 7 1/4 inches long and weighs 43 grams.  The blade front is decorated with bright-cut and wriggle-work engraving.  It is monogrammed “B” on the handle front. The piece is marked on the blade with the “* F&H *” trademark of Farrington & Hunnewell, as well as “K.M. GRAY”.
    Condition on the server is fairly good.  There are stubborn tarnish spots and normal signs of use.  Still an interesting old serving piece!
