Good MISSOURI Coin Silver TABLESPOON-Leonard FORBES-St. Louis-NR

Description

Up for bid is a Missouri fiddle pattern coin silver tablespoon by Leonard Forbes of St. Louis.  The spoon is 8 7/8 inches long and weighs 55 grams.  The spoon has pointed shoulders, no drop and an upturned waisted fiddle handle.  The spoon is monogrammed “ESN” on the handle front.  The spoon is marked [L.FORBES] and [ST LOUIS] in rectangles.

Condition on the spoon is fairly good.  There is some bowl tip wear, but no bowl dents or other damage.  It has not been buffed.  A good coin silver tablespoon with regional interest.
