Description
Up for bid is a coin silver stew or oversized gravy ladle in a bright-cut pattern, marked O.H. Baker. The server is 9 1/8 inches long and weighs 101 grams. It has a deep oval bowl and a rounded downturned handle with bright-cut and wriggle-work engraving on the front. It is monogrammed “M.M.S.” on the handle front. The piece is simply marked “O.H. BAKER", likely a retailer’s mark. It is definitely coin silver though, probably Philadelphia but possibly Boston.Condition on the server is quite good. There are just normal signs of use. An attractive old serving piece!
