    Description

    Up for bid is a coin silver oyster stew ladle in a bright-cut pattern by W. Faber & Sons of Philadelphia, as is. The server is 9 ½ inches long and weighs 94 grams.  It has a deep shell-form bowl and a shaped upturned handle with bright-cut and wriggle-work engraving on the front.  A monogram has been removed from the handle front. The piece is marked “COIN” and "W. FABER & SONS".
    Condition on the server is fair.  There is a shallow divot and some irregularities in the handle front where a monogram was removed, but otherwise there are just normal signs of use.  Still an attractive old serving piece!
