Description
As far as the references say, the Gorham Bust pattern originated around 1860. Charles Carpenter does not list the pattern in his book on Gorham Silver. Others have told me that the pattern may have originated in the mid 1850s. Here we are listing a very nice coin silver Gorham Bust pie server. The server weighs 3.76 ozt. and is 10" long. It has a very nice dedication on the back of the blade. The condition is very good. I am assuming this was a gift to "John and Mary Donnelly June 5th 1875 - 1900" on their 25th wedding anniversary. The server would have been about 40 years old at that time. We have also listed a Gorham Bust fish serving set. Take a look. Please see our listings for Tiffany flatware and vases, and other fine pieces. Please contact us if you have any questions.
