• Condition:
The underside of the lid has a chip. The top edge of the base has a flake off the glaze. There is also some missing glaze on the rim where the cup makes contact, either from wear or flaking. The balance of the piece is free of chips, cracks and crazing. The ink cup and holder have nice resonance when tinged. There are some common flaws in the paint and form as seen in photos. The foot has some wear as expected and 3 attached felt pads.
The piece is marked "HB, Quimper, 1109" with two underscores. While not perfect
it displays nicely and will make a wonderful addition to a Quimper collection even with it's flaws.
