    Description

These rather long sugar tongs with round ends are an interesting find. They were made early in his career by Jeffrey R. Brackett; he was active as a sole proprietor in Boston, Massachusetts from 1835-1848. From 1849 forward he formed a partnership with another silversmith. They are not marked sterling; we presume they are coin silver. The tongs are approximately 6” long and weighs 30 grams. They are in excellent condition with no dings, dents, or repairs. They are marked one opposite sides “Boston” and “Jeffrey R Brackett”. The Brackett hallmark is partially stamped. The are monogrammed on the curve as shown. The tongs would make a fine addition to any coin silver collection especially one focused on Boston. We are offering free shipping for this item. Please email us with any questions.
