Description
N. HARDING COIN SILVERHAVERHILL (Boston), MA 1810 – 1854
Pure Silver Coin
STUNNING
CREAMER
and
2-HANDLED SUGAR
set by N. Harding.
Pure silver coin.
COVERED SUGAR BOWL
stands just about 10” to the top of the fancy finial!
CREAMER
stands 8” to the top of the handle.
Gorgeous floral, fauna & scroll border pattern.
Fancy finial on cover of sugar.
Triple monogram on each piece reads CBG (I believe).
Great lines!
Rim of cover on sugar is ever so slightly just out of round in one spot and the base is the same – slightly out of round.
Otherwise, there is no damage to either piece.
It is simply elegant.
Each piece is marked on the underside as N. Harding and Pure Silver Coin in their respective cartouche.
This is a clean set.
We purchased and are selling it without ever polishing it.
There are beautiful panels on the sides of each piece.
I guess I could say the bodies resemble a paneled vase.
Handles are attached solidly.
Newell (N.) Harding was active in silversmithing between 1810 - 1854.
In 1830 he moved from Haverhill, MA to Boston and operated under the
N. Harding & Co
. trade name.
