    Description

    Up for bid is a coin silver butter knife with a mother-of-pearl handle, signed [SH]. The knife is 6 7/8 inches long, with a 3 1/8 inch long pearl handle.  It has a wide blade with an upturned tip set into a silver ferrule over the solid mother-of-pearl handle.  It is monogrammed “MAT” near the tip of the blade. The piece is marked [SH] in a square on the blade edge.
    Condition on the knife is fair.  The blade is wavy, with numerous faint spots and regular wear from use.  The handle is tight and undamaged.  Still a decent old coin silver knife!
