    Description

    For sale is a finless-fiddle pattern coin silver teaspoon by Eben Whitney of New York City, ca 1810-15, as is.  The spoon is 5 5/8 long and weighs 10 grams.  It has a swaged narrow arch drop and a downturned fiddle handle.  The spoon is monogrammed “KS” on the handle front.  It is marked [E.WHITNEY] in a rectangle as shown.
    Condition on the spoon is fair.  The heel is badly dented in, as shown, and there is piece missing from the handle tip.  There is also normal wear.  A fair piece of coin silver.
