    Description

    Up for bid is a pair of New York coin silver dessert spoons by John W Forbes / Beebe for G.W. Striker. The spoons are 6 7/8 inches long and together weigh 49 grams. The spoons have swaged rounded arch drops, rounded shoulders and downturned fiddle handles.  The spoons are monogrammed “PCR” on the handle fronts as shown.  The spoons are marked [G.W.STRIKER] in a rectangle with an [Anchor][Liberty Bust][Star] trademark attributed to the Forbes complex or successors.
    Condition on the spoons is fair.  There are some minor bowl dings and numerous patches of stubborn tarnish.  Still an interesting pair of coin dessert spoons!
