Description

This listing is for a very rare set of 8 dessert coin silver spoons made by Charles Alexander Burnett in Alexandria, Virginia and Georgetown, DC.  He was active from 1793-1822.
The spoons are in a fiddle shell pattern and they are 7 1/16" long.  They have a 3 letter conjoined monogram which looks like WCP and are hallmarked C. A. Burnett on the back of the spoon.   Total weight is 7.73 troy ounces.
Very good condition for age.  There are some very small, minor dings/dents in the bowls of 4 of the spoons but nothing distracting or that would show up in pictures.  You can't so much see them but you can feel them. They all have signs of use commensurate  with age - light surface scratches from use, polishing and storage.    Please see pictures for all details.
