Set of 4 Coin Silver TeaspoonsSet of 4 Coin Silver Teaspoons, marked of “GERRISH” in rectangle on back of fiddle handles for Oliver Gerrish, son of Timothy, born in Portsmouth NH, moved to Portland Maine, where he worked primarily with his father, 1823 – 1888. These spoons are ca 1820.
5 7/8” in length, engraved “I” or “J” in script on front of fiddle shaped, round ended, downturned handles. Pointed, squared shoulders. Minimal wear to tips, oval shaped bowls are in fine condition. One has 2 tiny tooth marks. No repairs to any spoon. Nice clean set of Maine spoons. 6988.
