WOOD & HUGHES COIN SILVER MASTER BUTTER – 1860 GADROON
Nicely detailed border on this Wood & Hughes coin silver master butter knife.
The GADROON pattern dates to 1860.
This is COIN silver.
The blade is simply marked with the W&H hallmark.
It is in lovely condition with a ripple on the bottom side of the blade.
It is one that is ‘felt’ rather than seen.
I call it because I can feel it.
Otherwise it is in excellent condition.
There is a triple monogram on the handle which could read LLL in fancy script font.
This early piece is an estate item therefor may show minimal and superficial signs of previous use which is common on estate pieces.
We have not polished this piece and offer it in ‘as found’ estate condition.
All in all it is in
EXCELLENT
condition even with the ripple that can be felt.
